Friends Program Director
Kelly joined Birthmothers in October 2009, working directly with women who contact Birthmothers, matching them for one-on-one care, following up to make sure their needs are met, and providing support for our volunteer Friends.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in International Studies with a minor in Political Science from Elon University (Elon, NC), Kelly served as a foster care social worker and child care subsidy social worker with Person County Department of Social Services (NC). Later she served as a journeyman and mobilizer for the International Mission Board and consultant with True Love Waits International, working overseas in Botswana, Malawi, and Swaziland and in campus ministry at University of Maryland-College Park.
“My passion is sharing Christ’s love – sometimes through words, sometimes through action – and encouraging others to take action,” says Kelly. “In this position, I’m able to build and nurture relationships through our Friends – and help women in need.”
